In the
morning the boat for the swimming with the dolphins found a really nice group
of bottlenose dolphins, they were playful and friendly with the boat. One of
the dolphins was familiar to us… it was the “Egipcian” a bottlenose dolphin
that we have seen in São Miguel for many years. It is possible to recognize the
individuals because of the shape of the dorsal fin; it works like a finger
print for us!

We also saw
different groups of common dolphins in both tours, the groups were really big
with many babies and juveniles… seems that a baby boom is going on!

But our day
it wasn’t just about dolphins, we managed to see two different fin whales with
feeding behavior.
