Fin whales and dolphins in June

Today we
went out in the morning and in the afternoon, the sea conditions were good and
we could enjoy different sightings from different animals.
In the
morning the boat for the swimming with the dolphins found a really nice group
of
bottlenose dolphins, they were playful and friendly with the boat. One of
the dolphins was familiar to us… it was the “Egipcian” a bottlenose dolphin
that we have seen in São Miguel for many years. It is possible to recognize the
individuals because of the shape of the dorsal fin; it works like a finger
print for us!
We also saw
different groups of
common dolphins  in both tours, the groups were really big
with many babies and juveniles… seems that a baby boom is going on!

But our day
it wasn’t just about dolphins, we managed to see two different
fin whales with
feeding behavior.
