azwhalesToday the sea allowed us to go out only in the morning. The wind has increased during the day and visibility was not the best due to the haze on the coast, so we had to cancel the trips in the afternoon.
In the morning, the zodiac boats could see a small group of bottlenose dolphins, but they were diving all the time, maybe they were foraging.
Then we found a huge group of Atlantic spotted dolphins, our seasonal species. In the beginning, they were spread out, but then some of them get together and we enjoyed a nice sighting of these animals.
We tried to look for whales but they were not around, it happens, it is not easy to work with wildlife.
From one of our catamarans, we found a blue marlin on our way back, which was a very nice surprise. We were very lucky to see it quite good and for a longer time.

On the other hand, in the afternoon we went to the European Marine Science Educators Association (EMSEA) conference hosted in Lagoa city. It was a nice experience and also it was really inspiring for our biologists’ team.
