Today, it was dolphins day!
We could sight two of the resident species here in the Azores! At first, we encountered a huge group of common dolphins, they were among a cloud of seabirds – Cory’s shearwaters – feeding all together. Later, they lost interest in the fish bank and started to socialize, and even for some of them, to mate!
After these dolphins were well seen, our lookouts spotted another group. Before arriving, we could see an incredible big flying fish jumping over the water!
Then we found a group of bottlenose dolphins. They were feeding and socializing as well, they were very curious and approached our boat. We were missing the sea as well as its wildlife and surprises!
