Today was one of those days that deserve patience from the human side. Lots of waiting, but finally common dolphins!
Our lookouts spotted early in the morning several sperm whales traveling and doing long shallow dives. However when we arrived, we didn’t manage to see them at all, although we wait for some time in the area. Sperm whales can remain for very long times underwater, up to 2h!, although usually not with shallow dives, when they normally remain for some minutes. While waiting, we had the opportunity to see several species of seagulls and again Cory’s shearwaters (so good to have them back!), and even some fishermans’ boats.
After some searching time, we found a group of common dolphins, which were bow riding our catamarans and showing off beside our boats. The next few days the forecast anounce some wavy sea, nothing to worry about, but just bear in mind, that if you are not used to the sea, light breakfast is recommended (avoid heavy meals before going to the sea!). Another day out in the ocean, who know what we will find next time?
