Strong winds coming from Northwest came to the island today but despite this, our resident species made a great appearance!
In the morning, the first animals were a group of common dolphins who approached the boat immediately, saying hi to our guests.
Then, our lookout had seen a few blows from some sperm whales and soon enough after leaving the dolphins we got to see 3 juvenile sperm whales resting on the surface and diving after.
In the afternoon we headed again to an area where the lookouts had seen some blows and they belonged again to juvenile sperm whales! Very nice tails that we got to see.
Meanwhile we waited for a sperm whale to surface, some bottlenose dolphins came to the boat to see it closer, but kept travelling soon after approaching.
Then, we thought it was a dolphin but in fact was a small sperm whale calf, waiting for his mother to finish hunting.
On our way back, a group of dolphins was spotted by the skipper and we went to take a look at the beautiful common dolphins.
