Today is our 17th day in a row that we have seen fin whales. There are many individuals along the south coast of São Miguel Island. In the morning we saw at least 6 different individuals, as well as our resident common dolphins that have many calves with them at the moment. it is now official, June started amazingly well, with continued sightings of baleen whales. In the afternoon we saw exactly the same species than in the morning – common dolphins and fin whales. We had an outstanding encounter with about 6 curious fin whales together so that we constantly had whales surfacing around our boats!!!
With this beginning, June already rocks!
