This morning, we went to an area where our lookout had spotted a humpback whale, but it was doing long dives. We thought that it was foraging and unfortunately we couldn’t see it. Then we had the same luck with a fin whale. The preys of these kind of animals can be found at different depths of the column of water and it looked like their meal was quite deep. For this reason, they were spending a long time underwater.
Then, we could see a group of common dolphins, the ones that are often here to give us their show.
This afternoon we went out again, but the whales were not around. Fortunately, we spotted a huge group of bottlenose dolphins. They were really active, jumping, bow-riding and socializing.
We recognized Egipcio and Submarino thanks to their special dorsal fins.
