Mr Liable again in Pico island!

We weren’t sure he was still in the area since the last time we saw him in the middle of July, until yesterday! Mr Liable, the most encountered whale off São Miguel Island who has become famous for his numerous sightings, looks like to appreciate the south of Pico and not only for the tasty squids!

Yesterday morning he was alone and performing deep dives to search for food but the afternoon we could observe him in a company of a female.

After a slow approach, they disappeared together for a shallow dive. Then the female surfaced and fluked.

What a nice sighting we had beside amazing pilot whales and spotted dolphins! We hope to see him again!
