Lots of dolphins in São Miguel

The bad side but also the good side of our job is that we can never predict which animals we are going to see that day – if any. We also never know what behaviours we will be able to observe. This can be frustrating at times, but more or less it always adds the beauty and mysteriousness to our trips!

Today we spotted big groups of common and Atlantic spotted dolphins. The first ones gave us a chance to see them mating, and the second ones performed a breathtaking scene, usually seen only on screens of documentaries! A big group of dolphins was feeding together with hundreds of birds! Can you even imagine?
