Another almost sunny day in the Azores! Cloudy, but quite warm in the ocean today, escaping from the showers falling in the horizon. We have started our trip looking for a sei whale, however this time, we couldn’t find it. Our lookouts were seeing the whale from land before we arrived, but this time, we didn’t manage to see it..i which sometimes happens! Maybe it was travelling fast underwater while diving. Did you know that this is one of the fastest species of baleen whale?

So after trying, we head out to an area where there were hundreds of seabirds: yellow legged seagulls (juveniles and adults), hundreds of Cory’s shearwaters and even some great shearwaters in between.
And among all of them, a group of bottlenose dolphins foraging, and also a hundred spotted dolphins joining the feeding frenzy.
What a show, even jumping out of the water.
