Today we didn’t have to travel far to see our resident common dolphins. We had several feeding groups spread out over a large area close to the marina of Ponta Delgada where we depart from. They must have been having their breakfast, as for most part of the morning we saw them together with a lot of birds (yellow-legged gulls) herding what must have been a school of fish beneath the surface. When the feeding ended we also got to enjoy seeing the dolphins a bit closer to the boat as they came to check us out and play in the waves in front of our boat.
