Bryde’s whale and lots of dolphins

After some windy days we finally got back into the sea. And our boats were welcomed by a total of 3 cetacean species!

Our catamaran started the trip with a group of foraging migratory Atlantic spotted dolphins, together with many Cory’s shearwaters flying around and searching for their bite of fish as well! These birds are often seen together with dolphins, enjoying a feeding frenzy all together.

After that, we started searching for something else, and in a few minutes, we were surprised by an unexpected Bryde’s whale sighting! The whale appeared next to our boat out of nowhere, and traveled next to it for a while, letting us observe its huge blows for quite a while.

Moreover, one of our swimming with dolphins’ trips also saw a pod of our resident dolphin species – the common dolphins, and our zodiac even saw a devil ray!

Although the sea was still a bit rough today, we are happy to have managed to observe these three lovely cetacean species, and a devil ray once again. The weather is getting better so make sure to join us on our next trip!
