The 25th of April, Portugal celebrates de achievement of democracy back in 1974. To celebrate this day, we went out to the ocean with the sun shining in the sky and perfect sea conditions.
In the morning tour, we encountered an amazing group of sperm whales. We saw at least 8 together and probably more around!
We even managed to see a tail 🙂
However, the most interesting feature we found (and we noticed it only checking our photos in the afternoon!), was some special marks on the body of one of the sperm whales. You can see them on the photo.
Then, in both trips, morning and afternoon, we saw as well common dolphins closer to the shore.
In this group, which was very playful, we had a lot of individuals with yellow dorsal fins! We will keep an eye on them 😉
Today on our catamaran we had a little girl of 3 years old called Marie Zöe, who offered her dummies (pacifier) to the baby whales and baby dolphins of the Azores. Of course, we would take care of this offer, and we will make sure that this plastic doesn’t arrive to the ocean 😉
Fingers crossed for the next days!
