Autumn is here!

When you have good vibes you attract the best of life. Nature knows it and feels it and shows you all its secrets and gives you the most beautiful phenomenons such as rainbows! In Azores you find it everywhere both at land and sea!

Do you imagine getting a rainbow and dolphins at the same time in one of the most remote islands of the Atlantic ocean? Well, we got it today!
Despite the fog and rain, among the white caps a group of 30 common dolphins (Delphinus delphis) came to our eyes! Playing like crazy guys, from one side to the other, from the port side to the starboard and the bow! They were just right there! But that we did not expect was that while they were swimming everywhere, a rainbow appeared behind them! No words for that moment, we just watched this idyllic scene!

Everything happened in only one minute! Meanwhile we were taking research data and pictures to identify them! Why? We would like to know more about this species and find an answer to the question – Do they live in Azores all year round or do they migrate somewhere else? Until now we recognized 173 individuals in the Azores, analyzing more than 12.000 photos! A hard work but everything to understand and protect them!

We kept going with the trip trying to find more. Our lookout watched a whale blow, unfortunately we couldn’t catch it! However we enjoyed again another sight of common dolphins. This time calmer and peaceful, just going with the flow of the sea! We left them and we’re getting closer and closer to the rainbow and then we crossed it! Things that only happen here!
