Sometimes it is possible to see different species of whales and dolphins in the same place. That’s what happened today on our trip in the morning. We saw a large Blue Whale in the company of a Fin Whale. It has been common to see these two species together here in our waters. Our Zodiac still saw a large hurried group of Striped Dolphins, always equal to themselves, in a great hurry! In the afternoon we started our sightings with a large Fin Whale … but two more decided to join us to enjoy the company of our boats. When we started our return to Ponta Delgada, we were surprised by a group of dolphins who, due to their speed, looked like authentic Striped Dolphins… but their yellow coloring do not fool us . They were Common Dolphins who were really funny and full of joy to play in the bow of our boats.
