It’s another cloudless sunny day in São Miguel and we have a presence of dolphins and a Bryde’s whale off the south coast of the island. Our morning tour started off with the Bryde’s whale that was doing constant deep feeding dives with unpredictable surfacings. After some patience all of us got to see the whale well and the crew were happy to have yet another sighting of this species which is considered to be rare in the Azores. After the whale a group of common dolphins delighted us with their playful leaps through the waves.

Beautiful pictures and beautiful dolphins. We regularly spot white-beaked dolphins here in Reykjavík, Iceland which are amazing as well. You might have better weather though 🙂
