According to studies, being in contact with animals brings many advantages to us and to our health. In some cases animals are used as a part of a therapeutic method – it’s what we call animal-assisted therapy.
Being close to animals increases self-esteem, reduces anxiety, grief and isolation. Fights depression, increases trust, empathy and teamwork. Being with them also improves our social skills, and these are just some of the benefits.
