Sperm whale breaching close to our boats!!!

This afternoon we went out with two boats and were extremely lucky to see a young sperm whale breaching repeatedly near our boats. After many breaches an adult whale surfaced and the two whales joined up together and approached near our boats. After a while a third whale, another young one, joined the two and we watched the three together for a while until the adult breached showing us a beautiful tail. We decided the name the adult “Freddy” after a client that was with us recently (a young future marine biologist from Holland). Freddy is a whale that we already have in our fluke catalogue and she is a whale that has been sighted many times since at least 2008. Here are a few of our photos from this incredible tour…
