Dolphins showing off

After a few days of bad weather, we finally got the chance to go out to the sea!
We were able to observe two of the four resident species in the Azores. The first sighting of the morning was bottlenose dolphins, a very numerous group that we sighted.

Today, we even got the chance to identify a new individual in this group, we named him Tyson, because he has a malformation in the beak.

Then, we were able to observe a group of very active common dolphins.

Throughout the morning, we were surrounded by traditional fishing vessels and groups of birds also fishing in the ocean, just like our dolphins who were adopting behaviours of predation.

Also, we had the opportunity to observe a great skua flying above our heads.
