Yesterday and today, in Pico Island, we went out to sea despite the weather wasn’t at its best. During the trips, the wind was getting power as well as the waves. But at the end it was worth it!
We were able to see pods of pilot whales resting at the surface in an agitated sea, some spotted dolphins also came around us for a while before disappearing, and the highlight, the false killer whales this morning!
When our lookout told us he saw something that was different but pretty far, we decide to go for it and what a great encounter!
At first, the false killer whales were scattered on a big area, then they suddenly aggregate together swimming in circles, sharing a fish underwater.
Some also passed to check our boat and pass under, jumping also a bit further!
