It was cloudy in the morning but then everything changed. The sperm whales appeared at the same time as the sun. Some minutes later we discovered that there was more than one whale in the area, blows everywhere! Out of the blue, a fin whale showed up in the same area as the sperm whales, it is not very normal to see baleen whales and sperm whales in the same area. After, we went to have a look at one of our resident dolphins, the bottlenose dolphins.
In the afternoon the real show started! We had the same group of sperm whales from the morning but this time they were more active, there were four whales at the same time at the surface one of them was tail slapping and another one breaching. We also witnessed an interaction between two species: bottlenose vs. sperm whales. Even though a lot of people think that dolphins are very friendly, bottlenose dolphins tend to be very territorial and can make a big whale understand that they are not welcome. So it chooses to disappear in the depth showing us the tail like many others before.
