Another sunny day in São Miguel with perfect conditions for whale watching!! The sea was so flat that we soon spotted common dolphins! Two big groups feeding among Cory shearwater’s.
Then our lookout spotted some blows and we were fortunate to find it because the blows were not very evident, but we manager to identify it as a sei whale! First sei whale of the season! On the way back we spotted a lonely bottlenose dolphin close to some fishermen.
In the afternoon trip we started with Risso’s dolphins just outside the harbour. A pod of 5 individual, 4 of them were adults according to the white colouration.
