We can always count on the common dolphins!

We all have felt the flavour of the Atlantic Ocean today!

We went out this morning and just outside the harbour, we found an incredible group of common dolphins. They were very curious towards our boat, playing and getting quite close. In this group, we have seen plenty of young animals.

After the common dolphins, we went further south south west trying to look for a whale. We took quite a long time to arrive to the area where our lookout saw the blows. And against the wind and the waves, we all got very wet while travelling!

Once in the area, we tried to find the whale. We tried hard, but it never appeared! Instead, more common dolphins show up.

Coming back was easier with the wind and waves from the back. Trips like this made us remember that we are not in the tropics. Spring in the Azores can be very unstable, and out in the ocean is still cold. So if you are coming out with us those days, be prepared with good clothes, better warm and waterproof!
