As usual during this month, today we had an amazing morning in the company of our friends; the dolphins. Just near Ponta Delgada one of the lookouts spotted a pod of common dolphins that were quietly there showing only their dorsal fins. Near the common dolphins there was a small group of Atlantic spotted dolphins, but unfortunately only one of our zodiacs saw this group. Beyond the whale watching we had a swimming with dolphin boat as well so we left the common dolphins to the swimmers. In front of Mosteiros we managed to find a nice pod of Risso’s dolphins of about 10 individuals. The Risso’s dolphins were surprisingly friendly, jumping near the boat!
