Thursday | Dolphin Watching in Ponta Delgada

Today the sun was shinning and the ocean was full of dolphins. We encountered both common dolphins and bottlenose dolphins in several different groups spread out over a large area. Further to the east our lookout also spotted two fin whales so of course we went there to investigate. Unfortunately by the time we arrived the whales were gone and despite our tireless attempts to find the whales again they were nowhere to be seen. Sometimes nature is like this and there isn’t anything we can do about it. It’s nice to know that the whales are out there, so we hope that tomorrow we will have the honour of actually seeing them.
