Sperm whales in a great summer day!

Today was another sperm whale day for us in São Miguel. In the morning we encountered our famous male “Mr Liable” towards the eastern part of the island, and in the afternoon we had a group of females with their young (both calves and juveniles) towards the west. 


Mr Liable impressed us as usual with his impressive tail, while the females and youngsters were calmly socialising at the surface. 


We also had a really nice encounter with a large group of Risso’s dolphins in the morning and common dolphins in the afternoon. To improve things even more, we had a great day with perfect summer weather.
