Today, the North wind didn’t prevent us to go out to the sea and enjoy one of our beautiful resident species: the common dolphin.
We saw a nice group that approached our boat, allowing us to see their yellow color on the side from the deck. Some of them were jumping on the side in several occasions.
Together with the dolphins, we saw several Cory’s shearwaters and also one great skua. Did you know that skuas are the pirates of the sea?
They steal the fish that other birds catch before them! On the way back, we passed by the Islet of Vila Franca. There were several rock pigeons, and some terns.
Today on board we took a local school with us. They have really enjoyed the trip, and we are sure they have learnt interesting things about our marine fauna!
