This morning we have seen a great group of <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;arial&quot; , &quot;helvetica&quot; , sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/atlantic-spotted-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Atlantic spotted dolphins<\/a><\/span><\/span>, playful and friendly with our boats, and again, with a lot of babies! From land, our lookouts saw them diving, but the visibility was not very good at the time we went there to spot them from land again. Therefore, from our rubber boats, the hydrophone helped us to locate the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/sperm-whale.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;arial&quot; , &quot;helvetica&quot; , sans-serif;\">sperm whale<\/span><\/a> listening to his clicks. And we found him! We all managed to see Mr. Liable&#8217;s tail when going down for a deep foraging dive. Our first sighting was a pod of <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/common-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-family: &quot;arial&quot; , &quot;helvetica&quot; , sans-serif;\">common dolphins<\/span><\/a>! They were bow-riding a fishing vessel and were very playful. We then encountered a second group of common dolphins! They were a nice calm group, approximately 8 individuals. In between these sightings, we managed to see a hammerhead shark and quite a large individual! About a meter and a half! They were quite calm as well and had plenty of calves.
