\nThis morning, even with a wavy sea, we were very lucky to see a big fin whale<\/a> quite close to our boat. After this amazing encounter our lookout<\/a> guided us to an area where a blue whale<\/a> was seen. And what a big surprise! We found not only the biggest animal on earth, but another fin whale swimming very close to it as well. Even though it’s not always, it’s also not rare to see fin whales and blue whales together during our tours. They have similar feeding habits, and some studies have shown that they follow similar migration routes. Even some hybrid animals have been found so far! <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nIn the afternoon we returned to the ocean to encounter a fin whale<\/a> again. This particular individual was a very curious one, especially towards our bigger catamaran boat. After having a good look at this curious fin whale we also got to enjoy the company of some of our resident common dolphins<\/a>.<\/div>\n
