{"id":785,"date":"2017-05-24T17:28:00","date_gmt":"2017-05-24T17:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/2017\/05\/24\/fin-whales-continue-to-dominate\/"},"modified":"2019-11-22T22:36:20","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T22:36:20","slug":"fin-whales-continue-to-dominate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/fin-whales-continue-to-dominate\/","title":{"rendered":"Fin whales continue to dominate"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nAgain today we encountered <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/fin-whale.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fin whales<\/a>, brining us closer to a record of encountering this species during every single tour this month of May. Throughout the day we had several different individuals around, so that our different boats could spread out and encounter different individuals. In the afternoon we had to be a bit more patient before seeing one, but in the end we had a nice encounter with a juvenile fin whale that was always travelling close to the surface, so we could see it just under water. As for dolphins, we had a very social group of <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/bottlenose-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bottlenose dolphins<\/a> in the afternoon, and our swimmers could enjoy some nice underwater encounters with <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/common-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
