{"id":775,"date":"2017-06-04T17:23:00","date_gmt":"2017-06-04T17:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/2017\/06\/04\/fin-whales-and-dolphins-in-june\/"},"modified":"2019-11-22T22:36:23","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T22:36:23","slug":"fin-whales-and-dolphins-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/fin-whales-and-dolphins-in-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Fin whales and dolphins in June"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">Today we<br \/>\nwent out in the morning and in the afternoon, the sea conditions were good and<br \/>\nwe could enjoy different sightings from different animals.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">In the<br \/>\nmorning the boat for the swimming with the dolphins found a really nice group<br \/>\nof&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/bottlenose-dolphin.html\">bottlenose dolphins<\/a>, they were playful and friendly with the boat. One of<br \/>\nthe dolphins was familiar to us\u2026 it was the \u201cEgipcian\u201d a bottlenose dolphin<br \/>\nthat we have seen in S\u00e3o Miguel for many years. It is possible to recognize the<br \/>\nindividuals because of the shape of the dorsal fin; it works like a finger<br \/>\nprint for us!<\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">We also saw<br \/>\ndifferent groups of&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/common-dolphin.html\">common dolphins&nbsp;<\/a>&nbsp;in both tours, the groups were really big<br \/>\nwith many babies and juveniles\u2026 seems that a baby boom is going on!<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span lang=\"EN-US\">But our day<br \/>\nit wasn\u2019t just about dolphins, we managed to see two different&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/fin-whale.html\">fin whales<\/a>&nbsp;with<br \/>\nfeeding behavior. &nbsp;<\/div>\n<p>\n<b><span style=\"color: #0b5394;\"><br \/>Photos from the
