{"id":54099,"date":"2020-09-02T13:30:50","date_gmt":"2020-09-02T14:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/?p=54099"},"modified":"2020-09-02T13:30:54","modified_gmt":"2020-09-02T14:30:54","slug":"three-resident-species-on-our-whale-and-dolphin-watching-trip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/three-resident-species-on-our-whale-and-dolphin-watching-trip\/","title":{"rendered":"Three resident species on our whale and dolphin watching trip!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Today we enjoyed the company of three of the resident species we can sight here in the Azores! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our lookouts spotted some sperm whales far away from Ponta Delgada, but before we got to the designated area, we could see some different groups of <a href=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/2020\/07\/common-dolphin\/\">common dolphins<\/a>! This species is recognizable thanks to the yellow stripe they have on the sides of the body. Then, another male appeared very close, and we noticed that he was playing with a plastic box.. They were very social and curious, lots of them bowriding and splashing in front of our catamaran.
