We have never had such a great&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">season for blue whales, making us feel very lucky. This morning we&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">encountered two blue whales traveling together, often surfacing in unison.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">It was a beautiful moment, especially since the ocean was completely flat&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">and calm. We also encountered <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/fin-whale.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fin whale<\/a>s today &#8211; two very curious&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">individuals that approached us in the morning and four just as curious&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">individuals in the afternoon. With the ocean being so calm and blue like&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">this it&#8217;s difficult to believe it is not summer yet, but we are constantly&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">reminded by the abundance of blue whales and fin whales that we are still&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">in the spring migration period. We also enjoyed the company of a huge group&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">of <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/bottlenose-dolphin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">bottlenose dolphins<\/a> throughout the day. They put a good show on for us&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">by approaching our boats to check us out and often leaping out of the water&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">so we could really see their impressive size. It was another impressive day&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"background-color: white;\">of whale and dolphin watching off S\u00e3o Miguel Island.<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"background-color: white;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<a
