In between some white caps we had several encounters today. During the <\/span>first half of the day we enjoyed the presence of Bottlenose Dolphins, later <\/span>we observed two Sei Whales<\/a> and in the <\/span>end, we watched the Atlantic Spotted <\/span>Dolphins. From our zodiacs the Striped Dolphins<\/a> could also be seen.<\/span><\/span>

 The second tour was dedicated to two different residents the Bottlenose <\/span>Dolphins and the Common Dolphins. Both species approached the boat and <\/span>showed us their beauty and some tricks their able to do like a <\/span>\u201cheadstand\u201d hovering for a few second the <\/span>half<\/span> of its body under the water <\/span>and the other half with the tail out.<\/span>

\nSo five different cetacean species were at home in the south of S\u00e3o Miguel <\/span>today and let us join them for a while in their natural habitat, the wide <\/span>Atlantic<\/span> Ocean.<\/span>

\nWhile in Pico Island we saw two groups of male sperm whales<\/a>, the first one with four socializing and showing the spiracle. The second group with three individuals showing the tail at the same time! <\/span><\/span>
\n

\nWe also saw a big group of around 100 bottlenose dolphins<\/a>, Atlantic spotted dolphins<\/a> and Risso’s dolphins<\/a>.  <\/span><\/span>
\n
