Perfect weather and sea conditions today! <\/span>In the morning we started with our most sighted species of the year (so far<\/span>), bottlenose dolphins. It was a shy pod but good to start the day.<\/span>
\n
\n<\/span>
\nWe <\/span>continued and spotted the two dorsal fins of the most mysterious group of <\/span>cetaceans …beaked whales. Since it was a very brief encounter we <\/span>couldn’t tell for sure the species. To finish the morning a big pod of <\/span>Atlantic spotted dolphins showed up to play a little bit with the boat. <\/span>

\nIn <\/span>the afternoon tour the mysterious whales appear again, but this time <\/span>something amazing happened. They were very calm in the surface for some <\/span>minutes swimming really slowlly around the boats. This is a really rare <\/span>moment because normally beaked whales keep the distance from boats and dive <\/span>as soon as they detect the boats. We could tell it was a group of 4 <\/span>Blainville’s beaked whales. Bottlenose dolphins showed up again to finish <\/span>the day.<\/span><\/p>\n
