Another surprising day. <\/span>This morning in Sao Miguel our boats spotted a group of common dolphins quite close to the unexpected oil platform passing in front of the south coast of Sao Miguel. Then we continued our tour looking for more, and suddenly we spotted a splash next to us, it was a Sowerby’s beaked whale<\/a>, so we stopped and we had a nice encounter with at least three individuals of this species that is really rare to see here. <\/span>

\nThen in the afternoon we were with a group of bottlenose dolphin very active and funny, jumping and showing up a lot.<\/span>

\nThe highlight in Pico island today it was
\nseeing a Sei whale <\/a>jumping out of water.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\nWe saw a total of 6 species during the
\nday. We were with spotted<\/a> and striped dolphins<\/a> and sowerby’s beaked whales<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\nIn
\nthe morning we also saw sperm whales showing the tail and the Sei whale
\njumping. In the afternoon we went swimming with spotted dolphins and still swam
\nwith risso’s dolphins. What an amazing day!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
