What a windy and rainy day in S\u00e3o Miguel <\/b>but we had such an amazing day with our resident stars: sperm whales<\/a>! In both morning and afternoon trip, we moved to the west, out of Mosteiros to see the animals and we saw everything: females with calves, spy hopping, lob tailing, lob throw and breaches (and it even jumped with his mouth open)! At a certain time, we had about 15 sperm whales together on the surface! It was a long trip but really worth it!!<\/span><\/span>

\nSperm whale – lob tailing<\/b><\/i><\/div>\n


<\/span><\/span> In Pico Island<\/b> we went out to swim with dolphins. We started with a really big group of spotted dolphins<\/a>, more than 500 of them and they were super curious about us! After that our lookout sent us to swim with the resident species in Pico Island, the Risso’s dolphins<\/a>. What an incredible experience to be able to see them in the wild.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
