The dolphins were bottlenose dolphins, a nice group of about 50-60 individuals that we saw near Ponta Delgada during both the morning and afternoon tours.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The whales were our resident sperm whales; two different family groups that we saw during the day.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">In the morning we saw <a href=\"https:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.com\/2017\/10\/our-most-well-known-sperm-whale-family.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">our famous &#8220;red group&#8221; <\/a>which is our most encountered group and includes some whales that we know since at least 2003. From this group we could identify a sperm whale we call &#8220;Orca&#8221; and another we call &#8220;Diamond&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">In the afternoon we encountered<a href=\"https:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.com\/2018\/07\/many-sperm-whales-diving-and-3-species.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> the &#8220;pink group&#8221;<\/a> that we know since at least 2010. Once again we could identify two members, known as &#8220;Peregrine&#8221; and &#8220;Angel&#8221;.<\/span><span style=\"color: #666666; font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"background: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br
