And with the sun came the animals. We started with a very active group of <a href=\"https:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.com\/2007\/07\/bottlenose-dolphin.html\">bottlenose dolphins<\/a>. So we started going, and after 40 minutes travelling, we had a surprise: 2 <a href=\"https:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.com\/2007\/07\/fin-whale.html\">fin whales<\/a>, the first ones of this season! They were doing dives of around 10 minutes, and blowing just 3 or 4 times, but they delighted us with their huge size. Fin whales are the second largest animal of the world, reaching around 28 meters.
