\nWhat a wonderful day today!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nThe sea was very calm and when we were heading out, we suddenly saw from far away a big splash on the distance! <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n
<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nThey were two humpback whales<\/a> breaching, slapping with the pectoral fins, like saying \u2018Hello\u2019 to us! Humpback whales are not uncommon in the Azores. They pass by the archipelago on their migrations, but seeing them jumping is something that doesn\u2019t happen every day. So we were all very excited!<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\nCommon dolphins<\/a> were around while waiting for the whales, probably feeding and looking for fish. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBottlenose dolphins appeared in a large group, social and playful.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n And in the afternoon, even some Risso\u2019s dolphins<\/a> from our catamaran.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nIn the afternoon we went also to swim with dolphin and we could do it with a group of common dolphin where we saw one that was with no dorsal fin, like our resident bottlenose dolphin submarino.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
