However, Futurismo also runs a variety of land-based activities (including jeep safari tours and walking tours), which allow you to get a taste of some of the beautiful sights around S\u00e3o Miguel Island (AKA the &#8220;green island&#8221;). Today turned out to be another great day for land activities, as you can see in the following photos. These photos are from one of today&#8217;s full-day jeep safari tours. This particular tour focused on two distinct volcanic regions of the island: Lagoa do Fogo (morning) and Sete Cidades (afternoon)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">:<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/DSC_0038.jpg\" onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\"><img alt=\"\" border=\"0\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5510909060121093474\" src=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/DSC_0038.jpg\" style=\"cursor: pointer; display: block; height: 268px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 400px;\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 85%; font-style: italic;\">First stop: View point over Lagoa do Fogo (lake of fire). This beautiful natural reserve frequently appears and dissapears from view due to the mystical-looking fog that is often suspended around this high viewpoint.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/DSC_0073.jpg\" onblur=\"try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}\"><img alt=\"\" border=\"0\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5510909078815664594\" src=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/DSC_0073.jpg\" style=\"cursor: pointer; display: block; height: 267px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 400px;\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-family: arial; font-size: 85%; font-style: italic;\">Caldeira Velha &#8211; located on the periphery of Lagoa do Fogo nature reserve.
