\nBig waves and an ocean full of dolphins! Waves were long and quite high, but dolphins were all around! From land, our lookouts led us to some bottlenose dolphins<\/a>. Beside the boat maybe we had around 20 or 30 of them, but several groups were around the area. They were not very interested in us, but we could see them jumping and travelling quite fast sometimes, and for some time.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nCommon dolphins<\/a> were around both in the morning and afternoon, again several subgroups with different behaviours. Some of them came close to the boat, some others were jumping on the distance! But in any case, we perfectly saw their elegant colours in the water.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nOur surprise of the day was found early in the afternoon. A dead striped dolphin<\/a> not far from Ponta Delgada. Probably it died some days ago, as its belly was redish and the animal was still complete. Sad sighting.. but life is like that!<\/span><\/div>\n
