\nThis morning, our zodiacs went to one direction and came across bottlenose dolphins<\/a>, very active and curious! <\/span><\/span>

\n<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

But with the help of our lookouts, we found a <\/span>sperm whale<\/a> who was feeding, so just came up to rest before diving again and showing the tail which was a bit small! <\/span>

\n<\/p>\n

\nRight after the whale went underwater, a group of common dolphins<\/a> approached us and we didn’t even had to move and it was an even more beautiful morning! <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\nAll of a sudden, our lookouts saw a blow and told us that a baleen whale was around but far away from where the small boats were. Luckily, our catamaran who left later than the zodiacs, went to that area and the guests aboard saw another species of whale, a blue whale<\/a>! The biggest animal in the planet. <\/span><\/span>
\n

\nSo you can see that every day, in every boat, we can have different sightings and that’s the beauty of the Azorean marine wildlife.<\/span><\/span>

\n<\/p>\n

\nIn the afternoon, we headed to an area where a sperm whale had dived half an hour before. <\/span><\/span>
\n

\n<\/a><\/span><\/span>
\n
<\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/a><\/div>\n

\nWhile we were waiting for the appearance of the sperm whale, a group of bottlenose dolphins came up to the surface just in front of us. <\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\n<\/a><\/span><\/span>

\n<\/a><\/span>
\n
<\/span><\/span>
\nAs we were enjoying the dolphins, we kept an eye on the surface to check if the sperm whale was about to come up.  And then we saw the blow! During the sperm whale sighting, the third species of the afternoon just appeared. It was a group of common dolphins. <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe sperm whales disappeared, lifting its tail to say goodbye and shortly after, a second sperm whale showed up. After a while, this juvenile fluked as well and we spent some more time with the common dolphins before we started our way back from the east of the island towards Ponta Delgada.
