They were travelling slowly and resting close to shore. It was a numerous group with lots of juveniles and calves. One of the smallest calves seemed to be really young. It was still learning how to swim and surface properly (he was doing it, of course, but still with a quite clumsy way\u2026)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify;\">During today\u2019s trip we were also able to observe a pod of&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.com\/2007\/07\/bottlenose-dolphin.html\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bottlenose dolphins&nbsp;<\/a><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;really close to shore.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/6-2.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;\"><img border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"506\" data-original-width=\"900\" height=\"358\" src=\"https:\/\/whalewatchingazores.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/6-2.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify;\">They were quite calm at surface, taking deep dives in-between the surfacing periods.
