Despite a few storms and fewer tours than usual this year has been a very succesful year. Listed below are some of our highlights from 2012:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Our tour success rate this year was 98.8% (there were only 4 tours in which nothing was seen, and in this case another tour is offered free of charge).<\/li>\n<li>17 different whale and dolphin species were sighted this year.<\/li>\n<li>The average number of species per tour was 2.4. The maximum was 6 species sighted in one tour.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/orcakiller-whale.html\">Orcas<\/a> (Killer whales) visited us from the end of April to the beginning of May.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/false-orcafalse-killer-whale.html\">False killer<\/a> whales were seen on Christmas Day (as well as in April).<\/li>\n<li>Record number of blue and <a href=\"http:\/\/azoreswhales.blogspot.pt\/2007\/07\/fin-whale.html\">fin whales<\/a> were sighted.
