\nThe lovely fin whales<\/a> are still here and we have sighted them every day of May so far. Today we had three individuals around our boats, being a bit curious and sometimes coming close to us. We have rules on how to approach the animals; we cannot go closer then 50 m and only approach the animals from behind. But sometimes the animals don’t care about the rules and come closer to check out our boats (and it that case we stay still in the water and enjoy the encounter). Today we also found a huge piece of plastic below the surface. Our biologists tried to pick it up because it is dangerous for the wildlife, but it was to deep for us to manage to grab it, even with a long hook. While we were trying to clean a small part of the ocean we were waiting for sperm whales to surface but we did not see them. Photos from today:<\/div>\n
