\nToday was another sunny day with a calm sea. We saw three species of dolphins in the morning, two resident species: common dolphin<\/a> and bottlenose dolphins<\/a> and a migratory species: Atlantic spotted dolphins<\/a>. Unfortunately, we witnessed a very sad thing, one of the bottlenose dolphins<\/a> had a plastic bag around its head, and we could observe the dolphin jumping to try to get it off (see photo below).<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nIn the afternoon we had the great luck to resight the resident species of dolphins from the morning, but also a minke whale<\/a>. The minke whale<\/a> is the smallest baleen whale we can see here in the Azores. We also saw several loggerhead turtles<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
