\nToday we had a difficult morning for encountering cetaceans, due to bad visibility over the entire island. Bad visibility makes it very difficult for our vigias<\/a> to spot whales and dolphins, because they are spotting them from land with powerful binoculars. Nevertheless, they were able to find some scattered groups of common dolphins<\/a> for all three of our boats out on the water to see. The groups were hunting for fish, as we saw them near some fishing boats and there were also many seabirds around the dolphins. Right at the end of the morning one of our zodiac boats also came across a large group of striped dolphins<\/a>. Contrary to their typical evasive behaviour, this time they were approaching very close to the boat and swimming alongside it.<\/div>\n
