What a day!!! Today we were able to spot up to 7 different species of cetaceans!! <\/span>

<\/span>
\nDuring all the whale watching trips today we sighted the same sperm whales that we’ve been seeing the last days. <\/span>
\n
<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe so called red group, with the always easy to recognize Orca<\/a>, were interacting a lot today.<\/span>
\nWe even saw lobtailing from one of the individuals of the group, the sound that was producing was truly impressive. <\/span>
\n
<\/span><\/p>\n

\nIn the morning we had another huge surprise 7 miles from Candel\u00e1ria: sei whales<\/a>!! Swimming really close to us, with a beautiful lighting that enhanced all its anatomical features.<\/span>
\n
<\/span>
\nWe headed east where another great sighting was waiting for us: pilot whales<\/a> interacting with bottlenose dolphins<\/a>! We could really compare both species perfectly. The roundish head of the pilot whales, the lighter coloration of the bottlenose, the contrast between the dorsal fins… It was a beautiful sighting that left us with a huge smile on our way back to Ponta Delgada.<\/span>

\nIn the afternoon we also added some social common dolphins<\/a> to the list of species, really close to Rocha da Relva. <\/span>

\nDuring the swimming activities we got to find also Risso’s dolphins<\/a> and Spotted dolphins<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
